Impacto Ministry is a Christian nonprofit organization dedicated to sharing and showing God's love in everything we do.
OUR STORY
Impacto Ministries was founded by Pastor Luis Castillo. Luis was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala where he lived until age 7. At that time, his family, parents, and 8 siblings, moved to Los Angeles, California in search of a better quality of life.
Luis had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ in Los Angeles through his mother's prayers and from there, accepted God's call to full-time ministry. He attended Master's Seminary in California, Shasta Bible College in Redding, California, and Dallas Theological Seminary.
In 2003, Luis and his wife Dinora, with children in tow, returned to Guatemala to begin serving the Lord full-time. Initially working on a volunteer basis, in 2006 Impacto Ministries became a non-profit organization in the U.S. and began receiving support from churches and individuals.
Since then, Impacto Ministries has grown from working in one community to now being active in 17 communities throughout Guatemala. Our focus remains on presenting the Gospel, building relationships with locals, and discipling believers in their walk with Christ.
MISSION
Impacto's mission is to present the Gospel to all and to make disciples through church planting, leadership development, and holistic ministry. We desire to share the Gospel with every person in every community in which we are active.
VISION
Our vision is to see Christ-centered, self-sustaining local churches in every community where we serve. We believe in raising up local leaders who can continue the ministry long after our direct involvement.

STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Impacto's staff is made up of people who love the Lord wholeheartedly. Each member of the staff has heard the call at different moments in their lives and have obeyed. Our number one goal through each compassion ministry is to present the Gospel to as many people as we possibly can, forming relationships with the locals, and guiding/discipling them in their walk with Christ. We are aware that we do not work for man but for God and His Kingdom. Though it is not always easy, we try very hard to always do our best for Him.
