August - Summer's End
Aaaannndd goodbye summer 2024! You have been so fun! With each passing day we saw God’s grace and new mercies every morning. We are so grateful for each team and person who came to minister alongside us.
We saw so many things happen this summer. Many seeds were planted, many came to the Lord, many reconciled, many were prayed for, many received physical relief, many shared burdens which lightened their load. We saw God move daily and are forever grateful for each one who came, who supported, who donated, who prayed to make this summer possible. God truly is moving and we praise His name for sending so many to help. It truly is something so special to know that we are not alone, we’ve got God and He has sent each one of you.
Chapter 5 in Hebrews begins by telling what the High Priest did in the Old Testament. He presented sacrifices and offerings on behalf of the people. Today we are not asked to give sacrifice other than our own body. Romans 12:1 says, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God — this is your true and proper worship.”
I encourage you to live a holy and pleasing life for the Lord.
