Remembering September

September 30, 2022 by Impacto

Have you ever been excited and nervous at the same time? That is how we feel about the next few months. We have a busy end-of-the-year (also, can you believe we’re nearing the end of the year?!).

Sometimes a Congress doesn’t seem like it’s an ongoing ministry, however our staff was reminiscing how many of the Pastors that now come to the Congress used to be teens in Zona Cero (our yearly youth camp). It is such a privilege and a humbling experience to watch them grow especially realizing that Impacto has been able to help with their spiritual growth. God is so good!

The Pastor’s Congress is a ministry where we see the ripple effect that Pastor Luis always talks about. Sometimes we do not always get to see those ripples with our own eyes, but we get to hear the testimonies and the impact it has had on so many. We shared one of the testimonies in the last newsletter. But this past week we experienced one of our biggest joys! Two women who have not missed a single Congress or Conference have prayed and prayed for their husbands. We’ve heard from each of them that their husbands will be joining them for the first time for this Congress! Please, join us in prayer for all the couples who come. Pray that they might find this time to feel refreshed individually and in their marriage. Pray that they will leave the Congress with their marriage strengthened in Christ.

There is still time for you to partner with us for this Pastor’s Congress and sponsor one participant, or two, or three! Remember, we need US$275 per person to cover 3 nights of hotel, 8 full meals, 2 coffee breaks, and all the material we give them. Can’t wait to share more testimonies with you after this Congress!

Even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will

shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.

Psalm 139:12

ATTRIBUTES OF GOD

Who is God? The Bible teaches us several attributes of who God is. For example, He is omniscient -- He knows everything. He is omnipotent -- He can do anything and everything. He is omnipresent -- He is everywhere. When we know these attributes of God, we can have a better relationship with Him and know who is our God.

Today I want to share with you Psalm 139:7-12

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you

This passage talks about His omnipresence, how there is nowhere we could go that He could not find us. The verse that strikes me the most is, verse 12 “even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you”.

I hope that with this understanding, our walk with God will be better every day.

Blessings to you and yours,

Pastor Luis
